Dr. Nicole Dent
Dr. Nicole Dent has over ten years of experience working within the field of Psychology. She pursued her registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario as a Psychological Associate in the area of Rehabilitation Psychology. More recently, she was awarded a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University, Santa Barbara, CA, with extensive clinical training at Sunnybrook hospital and Psychological Centers within the GTA .
Dr. Nicole has been widely trained in conducting psycho-diagnostic assessments and providing psychological treatment to adults and adolescents presenting with a variety of mental health concerns, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), pain management, psychosis, personality disorders, anxiety and depressive disorders. selective mutism, tics, complex trauma.
In addition to the above, Dr. Nicole has undergone specialized training in the area of OCD intervention. She was involved in both planning and coaching exposure and response prevention (ERP) plans with clients as well as providing individual treatment sessions. Throughout her career, Dr. Nicole also has extensive experience providing psychotherapy to individuals coping with a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem difficulties, workplace stress, trauma, grief, life transitions, and interpersonal issues.
Dr. Dent provides a high standard of care in her work and she tailors her approach to meet the needs of each client. In her practice, she utilizes interventions such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based CBT, (MbCBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
At the Dr. Caffrey-Craig Clinic, Dr. Nicole provides psychological services to adolescents and adults under the supervision of Dr. Caffrey-Craig, registered Clinical Psychologist of the College of Psychologists of Ontario & Director of our clinic.
